Core tasks of the Working Group "EMF and Environment" are the analysis and communication of current research and public debate about effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) on health and environment.

To meet this aim, the group offers an array of sound information and communication services about research activities, public discussion, and expert assessment of potential effects of electromagnetic fields. Target groups are relevant actors as well as the interested public and experts. A further objective is networking and establishing a sustainable dialog amongst all social groups dealing with research, evaluation and risk communication about electromagnetic field effects. This is intended to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue appropriate for politics, business, and the public. With this major contribution WIK wants to make the controversial public debate about possible effects of EMF on the environment more fact-based and will provide a broad information basis for the public dialog.
