Alex Dieke presented results from WIK’s research program "Economies of Scope in Delivering Parcels and Letters Together" on this year’s Conference on Postal and Delivery Economics, which was held from 18th to 21st May in Florence. The presentation provided a discussion of the effects of decreasing mail volumes and increasing parcel volumes on the delivery operations of national postal operators and the cost effects of combined delivery of letters and parcels.
