On 7 October 2016, the leading conference on postal law and regulation took place in Bonn. The event, called ‚Deutsche Postrechtstagung‘ is organised by Bonn University’s Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI). At the event, WIK director Alex Dieke presented and discussed the European Commission’s proposals for a regulation on cross border parcels. The event offers a forum for experts from German-speaking competition authorities, postal regulators, operators, associations and academics to discuss current case law in letter and parcel markets. Second to the draft parcel regulation, recent case law on abusive pricing for letters was a major topics at the conference.
