Success factors for cloud computing in public administration

May 13, 2024

Online workshop: Monday, May 13, 2024, 9:30 am-12:30 pm

You can look forward to interesting insights into the German Administration Cloud from Nicolas Hagemann, Ministry of Regional Identity, Local Government, Building and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and an overview of the benefits of secure and sovereign cloud solutions for local governments from Daniel Sieberath, Bundes-Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Kommunalen IT-Dienstleister e. V. (VITAKO). Thomas Pöge, mayor of the municipality Thallwitz, and Michael Kubach, beratungsraum GmbH, present an inter-municipal project for the implementation of the Online Access Act in the cloud by 15 municipalities in Saxony and Rena Wißmeier; Kommunale Gemeinschaftsstelle für Verwaltungsmanagement, will classify the potential of cloud computing for municipalities. Michael Knipprath then shares insights into the city of Colognes’ experience with cloud computing.

In our non-profit research program 2024, we are investigating which cloud solutions are used  by municipalities and their advantages and challenges. The study will be published later this year.

This online workshop as part of the research program is aimed at experts in the field of digital transformation of municipalities in Germany and all those who offer and use cloud solutions in public administrations.

Participation is free of charge. We will send you a dial-in link when you register.
