Business communication services in Germany and its regulatory framework

The study for the Association of Telecommunication and Value-Added Service Providers (VATM) shows the importance of an ex-ante regulation of fixed call origination for competition in the provision of business communication services in Germany.

Business customers demand for a bundle of different communication services and solutions, often geographically spread over a branch network. Further, they also have a strong preference for those services being delivered by a single provider. In consequence, the wholesale services available to alternative network operators are of great importance for competition in the provision of business communication services.

The study for the association Association of Telecommunication and Value-Added Service Providers (VATM) shows the importance of an ex-ante regulation of fixed call origination for competition in the provision of business communication services in Germany.

On 21 January 2016 WIK Consult presented its study on business communication services in Germany in a workshop with stakeholders.

The study (in German lanuage) is available for download.
