The latest episode of the BNetzA podcast NETZtalk looks at the scientific perspective on the roll out of fibre networks. This time, Dr Brönstrup's guest is our director and managing director, Dr Cara Schwarz-Schilling. Based on scientific studies and observations, she talks about the challenges of fibre roll-out and what we can learn for Germany from other European countries. This involves topics such as infrastructure competition versus access-based competition, the design of roll-out areas, entry-level tariffs for fibre connections, how the transition from copper to fibre networks can be successful and many other issues.
