At the GeoForum MV 2023, Marina Happ and Julia Wielgosch presented the results of the study "open cadastral data" and gave a current outlook. The study provides an overview of free cadastral data in Germany and shows the potential of this data based on selected use cases. The European Commission's implementing regulation on high value datasets (2023/138), which came into force in February 2023, will further promote the provision of open cadastral data. The implementing regulation determines a list of high value datasets that public authorities must make available free of charge, including cadastral data.
The association GeoMV and the Chair of Geodesy and Geoinformatics host each year the forum on geodata and geoinformation. This year the forum took place under the motto "geoinformation - more in demand than ever". Best practice solutions were presented at the forum from 30. to 31. August 2023, and current trends and developments in the field of geodata were discussed. Around 70 experts from public administration as well as small and large IT service providers attended the forum in Warnemünde.
