Study on access price setting for infrastructure sharing– Implementation of the directive on broadband cost reduction

The study commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) focusses on pricing and costing principles for infrastructure sharing / network access with regard to the implementation of the directive on broadband cost reduction into German Law.

Which price should firms, which invest in fibre deployment, pay for the use of alternative infrastructures? To clarify this question WIK elaborate in a study for the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) on pricing and costing principles. The findings and recommendations directly fed into the draft bill on facilitation of high speed broadband network deployment which transposes the EU-Directive of cost reduction into national law.
