An increasing number of telecommunications experts, large parts of the scientific community and policy makers are convinced that Germany as the leading European business location needs a modern fiber-based broadband infrastructure. Against this background, WIK-Consult has been commissioned to prepare two studies that deal with different facets of FTTB/H network infrastructures. The results of both studies were presented to the public in Berlin on 7 April 2016 and have been summarized in a management summary.
