Before joining WIK-Consult, Dr Wiewiorra was a junior professor for business informatics and microeconomics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. There he dealt intensively with current issues in the field of regulation of telecommunications markets and the platform economy. In addition, his research projects examined internal and public digital transformation processes, as well as corporate strategies and business models in the information and communication technology industry.

Dr Wiewiorra studied economics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Copenhagen Business School. He then completed his doctorate summa cum laude at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the field of business informatics on the topic of network neutrality. Following his doctorate, he was a research group and project leader at KIT.
