Towards a competitive European Internet industry

In May 2012 the study "Towards a competitive European Internet industry" has been published.

The study was commissioned in 2010 by the European Commission DG Information Society and jointly conducted by RAND Europe, IDC, WIK-Consult, IC Focus and Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB).

The study is set up to estimate the potential economic and societal contributions of the European Internet industry as well as the impacts of EU support for a Future Internet Public Private Partnership (PPP). Through objective analysis and research, combining a range of different methodologies, the study supports the European Commission in its deployment of the Digital Agenda, and the Future Internet PPP in particular.
